There is a relative in our family who first went kota to crack down IITs and somehow he managed to crack it, and get enrolled himself into IIT-B then he studied there until his b-Tech is completed then a foreign based MNC company gave him lucrative offer and as wind blow he fly accordingly and then donno what happened to him and he came back to india and started preparing for IAS through selfstudy.there is another case in our bungalow there was a PG (SBI-PO) who told me he did his engineering in Electric department and software giant infosys hired him (it was lill hilarious to me, i mean where is software and where is electrical ) & then he told me they put him under 6 month of rigorous software training program i.e coding, having finished his training he got his expertise in coding but he found it boring to do same work each and everyday and there was no penny saved from 6 lakhs pakage and finaly he went through SBI-PO exam did some initial coaching to crack the exam he did and became a SBI-PO now its been 6 month since he joined PO he found there is no professionalism in it and tons of overload with regular transferring make him land to many rural places, now he brought IAS (Pre & Mains) and starting preparation. In brief above in two cases undoubtedly they are educated but aimless, I often found this when ppl became doctor or software engg and then they start thinking what exactly they wana do in life, so be focused on what is your goal and be prepared, and there is no mean in doing engineering and then IAS.
